Amherst Presbyterian to hold potluck

Amherst Presbyterian Church in conjunction with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host a potluck and informational meeting Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the church, 151 S. Youngs Road, Amherst. The potluck will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a meeting about the warning signs and risk factors of suicide, and suicide prevention. Historical Society Museum to open

The Village of Williamsville Historical Society Museum will reopen for the season from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Meeting House, 5658 Main St., near Mill Street. There will be displays, photos, maps, research material, uniforms, Glen Amusement Park information and other items. Admission and parking are free. The museum will be open the second Sunday of the month from September to June.
