TRAINING SESSION



— Ellicott Creek firefighter Michael Frase, center, on Sunday prepares to dive into the Niagara River behind the City of Tonawanda Police Headquarters as part of a Swift Water Rescue exercise taught by members of Dive Rescue International. Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company hosted the diving course from Saturday through Monday. According to organizers, 32 divers participated in the training. The divers included Amherst-based firefighters and members of area police agencies.
