Amherst Alarm finalizes merger with area company

Tim Creenan, chief executive officer of Amherst Alarm, and Nancy Saad, president of Eastern States Sentinel Alarm Services, on Thursday detailed the merger of both company’s operations.

The merger of the Amherst- and West Seneca-based companies, respectively, went into effect last week.

According to representatives from both companies, they will combine forces under the Amherst Alarm umbrella to offer residential and commercial security systems to local customers.

Company officials said the new acquisition offers increased strength in technology and will also increase the workforce by 12 employees and broaden the service area. The company will operate out of Amherst Alarm’s new headquarters, located at 2361 Wehrle Drive, Amherst.

“Amherst Alarm is now in its 34th year of operations as a family-owned security systems company,” Creenan said. “We have built a reputation for responsiveness and top-quality services, supported by state-of-the-art technology, to make our customers’ experience the best it can be,” said Creenan.

Saad said the merger was the “ideal fit for clients and staff” of Eastern States Sentinel.

“Amherst Alarm’s commitment to technology and all the conveniences this brings to customers will be an enormous new boost for our clients,” said Saad.
