Mystic Shop offers variety of gifts, workshops
Nestled in the Snyder Point Plaza at 4446 Main St. near Amherstdale Road, The Mystic Shop provides residents with a variety of interesting items which set it apart from other area gift shops.
Owner and psychic medium Karyn Reece expanded the business to include a gift shop in order to reach out to new clientele in the community.
“We offer a wide-variety of unique, one a kind gifts,” said Amy Martineau, Reece’s marketing director. “I think more people need to know about the shop and the unique things that we offer.”
Eye-catching window displays and a bright, open interior gives the shop a welcoming and charming appeal.
“We always have decorated windows,” Martineau said. “They’re very visible actually when you’re driving by at night because the lights are on. So you can actually see them from the road, which is pretty impressive.”
Martineau said the shop offers a wide-range of items.
“We have so many different kinds of things in here. You kind of just have to wander around and look at it,” Martineau said.
Items such as soap in the shape of fortune cookies that have real fortunes inside are just some of the products sold at the store.
The shop also sells quality jewelry and jewelry boxes.
“All of our jewelry is 9.25 sterling silver with real gem stones. It’s really high-quality, so we’re very particular about that,” Martineau said. “We have clocks, we have artwork, we have cards.”
The shop also offers gifts for massage therapists and people who are interested in Reiki, a spiritual healing technique.
“It’s a one of a kind gift shop right here in the heart of Snyder,” Martineau said.
The Mystic Shop will also be holding workshops after the New Year, which will cover several different topics, according to Martineau.
People interested in signing up for the workshops can visit the shop’s website at www.karynreece.com.
The website also features information on Reece, the shop’s items, and gives people a chance to enter a drawing for a free reading.
The Mystic Shop is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Call 632-5669 for additional evening hours.
