Town to hold concert, fireworks display

The Town of Amherst will offer musical entertainment as well as its annual fireworks display on Independence Day, Monday, July 4.

As part of the Recreation Department’s summer concert series, musical performances will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. in front of Baird Point at the University at Buffalo’s North Campus.

Friends of Harmony will perform from 7 to 8:15 p.m., and the Erie County Wind Ensemble will be on stage from 8:45 to 10 p.m.

Immediately following the concert, at 10 p.m., a fireworks display, sponsored by Northtown Automotive Companies, will be held.

In the event of rain, Friends of Harmony will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, and the Erie County Wind Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23. Both concerts would be held at Bassett Park, Klein and Youngs roads.
