Death Notices

O’HARA, Michael William, of East Amherst, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018. Mr. O’Hara is survived by his parents, Francis and Susan (nee Waytena); three siblings, Francis Jr., Andrew and Emily; and his grandmother, Louise Waytena. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Northgate Community Church, 5225 Harris Hill Road, Clarence. Arrangements were made by the Amigone Funeral Home Inc.

BURKE, Brian, of Amherst, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018. Mr. Burke is survived by four siblings, Richard Burke, Helen Eckert, Mary Burke and Margaret Wittmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Resurrection Church, 130 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga. Arrangements were made by the Dietrich Funeral Home Inc. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

FLYNN, Dorothy A. (nee Meek), of Amherst, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. Mrs. Flynn is survived by four children, Suzanne Flynn deGraffenreid, Thomas Flynn, Mary Ramsay and William Flynn; seven grandchildren; and one sibling, Donald Meek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Oct. 9 in St. Gregory the Great Church. Arrangements were made by the Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home Inc. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of WNY.

GARVEY, Gary Lee, of Amherst, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018. Mr. Garvey is survived by his wife, Raffalena (nee Malizia) McCann-Garvey; two children, Michelle Garvey and Joanna Garvey-D’Orsaneo; two grandchildren; and one sibling, Glen Garvey. A funeral service was held on Oct. 13 at the Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church. Arrangements were made by the Amigone Funeral Home Inc.

KEIDEL, Brenda S. (nee German), of Amherst, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018. Mrs. Keidel is survived by three children, Clint Keidel, Renee Hamann and Jason Keidel; five grandchildren; and two siblings, Louise Souza and Sharon Zimmers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald. A funeral service was held on Oct. 11 at the Dietrich Funeral Home Inc. Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.
